summer, wedding, america

I came back down to my homeland of Western Sydney for summer as I had a lot going on, including xmas, a wedding and a trip to America.

The wedding was between 2 of my favourite people, Marnie & Sam, at Jenolan Caves in the Blue Mountains.

Everyone looked amazing. After many months of stress, the end result was the best wedding I have ever been to (a sentiment echoed by many guests).

When photos were being taken after the ceremony Webber & I were hanging around and managed to get into a few of them, however this is the best shot of me (far right):

So far I’ve had a really enjoyable summer of visiting friends and watching films and eating copious amounts of cake.

The other day I went down to Bundeena in the Royal National Park with Shara, Kat & Burga (in his ‘paedo van’) for a swim in the bay, I eagerly volunteered to sit in the back of the van only to discover there was no air conditioning and limited air flow on a 40℃ / 104℉ day.
After a round of hot chip sandwiches (Kat, who is American, couldn’t handle this carbo-loaded cultural phenomenon), we packed up to leave immediately prior to a massive storm.

The next day we were in the city again, sourcing out gorgeous cakes from Adriano Zumbo in Balmain (after vegemite & avocado on sourdough + a mint iced chocolate in the café).

In a couple of days I fly out to LA with Shara & Webber, by some kind of sourcery we leave Australia at 2pm on Monday only to arrive in America at 1pm on Monday. Science!

Not entirely sure how I will cope in wintertime in the US, apparently it has been -22℃ / -9℉ in Indianapolis which is one of our stops during the trip. I wasn’t aware temperatures that low actually existed.
